This Saturday, August 20, 2016, is the 1st Annual Virginia Rush R.E.A.C.H. (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) Friendlies. This is an in-house 1-Day Tournament taking place at the Rave Training Center (RTC). The purpose of the event is to collect gently used soccer equipment. Games will consist of 25 minute halves | 5 minute halftimes | 5 minute change of teams. An airhorn will start and stop games and halftimes.
Players should collect/bring gently used soccer equipment/gear/old uniforms for the Rush R.E.A.C.H. Program, which will be sent to the National Rush HQ for redistribution to underprivileged children around the nation and the globe. This is meant to be a day of fun competitive play, club camarader…ie and more importantly, an equipment drive to make a difference in a less fortunate player’s life! Please bring out any uniforms, balls, warm-ups, shoes, shin-guards, bags, etc. that your player is no longer using or has outgrown. Have your player reach out to their friends and neighbors to see if they have any equipment that could be donated. The equipment does not need to be Adidas Rush gear. All equipment is accepted but Rush equipment will be sent to Rush Soccer partner clubs around the globe.
Your donations can be turned in at the fields any time throughout the event, to the Booster Club, who will have collection bins available.
