VIRGINIA RUSH ENTERS INTO THREE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH CHKD SPORTS MEDICINE
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Virginia Rush Soccer Club, one of the area’s foremost providers of youth soccer, today announced a three-year strategic partnership with CHKD Sports Medicine. The partnership will combine Virginia Rush’s large and ever growing pool of athletes with CHKD’s board certified pediatric specialists to deliver sideline athletic training coverage, injury prevention programs and education. CHKD provides complete care from diagnosis and treatment to surgery and customized rehabilitation plans should the players and families of Virginia Rush choose to use CHKD.
Together Virginia Rush and CHKD Sports Medicine are co-innovating around youth athletic training and injury prevention to address the increasing concerns in organized youth sports of overuse injuries and burnout that young athletes are facing today. The Virginia Rush/CHKD Sports Medicine partnership will provide education and increased awareness to the youth soccer community about proper injury prevention early on, resulting in healthier athletes in the long run. Education, prevention programs and customized therapy plans are the best tools to decrease the prevalence of injuries among young athletes, which is the combined goal of both Virginia Rush and CHKD Sports Medicine.
