VIRGINIA RUSH’S JACKIE HARRIS GOLF DAY
John “Jackie” Harris was a longtime supporter of the Virginia Rush, who loved golf almost as much as he loved watching his daughters play soccer. He was instrumental in getting our Annual Golf Day set up and was always one of the first ones to volunteer his time to help kids get on the soccer field. Our dear friend Jackie passed away in 2009 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. We hold this day of golf, raising money for the sport we love in his name to carry on his legacy.
Proceeds from the Jackie Harris/Virginia Rush Golf Tournament go directly towards providing scholarship opportunities for young athletes wishing to play soccer with Virginia Rush. Rush Soccer is a nationally recognized program that is dedicated to making soccer a pleasant, safe and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
