CLassic academy (U10-U19)

The Virginia Rush Classic Academy program is geared toward select Advanced teams and players of the U10 through U19 age group. All players within the Classic Academy program must be of at least an intermediate to Advanced skill level and are seeking a higher level than the Advanced program, without the full commitment of the Competitive program.

What is the Classic Academy program?

The Classic Academy program is created for Advanced players and teams who desire a travel-level experience without the financial. time, or general travel commitment that comes with being part of our Competitive program. The Classic Academy program gives players exposure to the VPSL/NPL travel league, tournaments, Competitive and Advanced guest playing opportunities, and much more.

Classic Academy rosters are formed by current Advanced teams who have expressed interest in the program. Teams can be created based on general player interest and those who qualify for the intermediate to advanced skill level. Qualification for the program is trial-based.

Classic Academy teams are headed by volunteer coaches, with oversight by Virginia Rush Director of Coaching staff members.

Play and Practice information

Classic Academy teams will play in the lowest level of their VPSL/NPL age group. Furthermore, they will play other Classic Academy "like" clubs/teams and those of the competitive level.

Training is held at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex or the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.
