REACH Friendlies

VIRGINIA RUSH’S REACH FRIENDLIES

The Virginia Rush R.E.A.C.H. (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) Friendlies is an in-house 1-Day Tournament taking place at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. The purpose of the event is to collect gently used soccer equipment for donation to less fortunate players across the globe. Games will 30 minutes. Games that are tied at the end of the 30 minutes will go straight to PK’s. An airhorn will start and stop games.

Players should collect/bring gently used soccer equipment/gear/old uniforms for the Rush R.E.A.C.H. Program, which will be sent to the National Rush HQ for redistribution to underprivileged children around the nation and the globe. This is meant to be a day of fun competitive play, club camaraderie and more importantly, an equipment drive to make a difference in a less fortunate player’s life! Please bring out any uniforms, balls, warm-ups, shoes, shin-guards, bags, etc. that your player is no longer using or has outgrown. Have your player reach out to their friends and neighbors to see if they have any equipment that could be donated. The equipment does not need to be Capelli Rush gear. All equipment is accepted but Rush equipment will be sent to Rush Soccer partner clubs around the globe.

Your donations can be turned in at the fields any time throughout the event, to the Booster Club, who will have collection bins available.

MATCH RULES

Teams should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled games.
All teams will wear all blue uniforms. (if you do not have new blue uniforms, wear old blue uniforms – if you are new and have no blue uniforms yet, wear a blue shirt)
Team listed second will wear orange bibs (provided).
30 minute games.
Coaches are in charge of the clock. Please stay on time with schedule.
Games that are tied at the end of the 30 minutes will go straight to PK’s.
Coaches and DOC’s are allowed on the field with players.
Coaches/DOC’s will wear a different color bib to be set apart from players.
Games are for learning, let’s use this time efficiently.
Coaches/Parents – let the players call fouls.
Players, if a foul is called, respect it, stop playing and restart accordingly sub on any stoppage.
